Karra and other senior leaders also expressed deep sorrow over the death of four persons in Doda district due to heavy rains, in addition to injuries sustained by ten others. They prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls, extended sympathies to the bereaved families, and urged the administration to provide the best treatment to the injured.

The PCC leaders called on the government to provide immediate ex-gratia relief to the next of kin of those who lost their lives and to support the specialized treatment of the injured. The party also voiced serious concern over the widespread devastation caused by heavy rains, floods, cloudbursts, and landslides, urging all concerned agencies to remain on high alert to rescue and assist affected people.

They lauded the efforts of the administration and all those engaged in rescue and relief operations, including the armed forces, police, and paramilitary forces, for extending full support to the ongoing measures.

The PCC Chief also appealed to all party cadres across the Union Territory to extend every possible help to the administration and the people in this hour of crisis. He further urged the public to remain cautious and avoid venturing into dangerous situations as far as possible.
