Srinagar,: Police have arrested three drug peddlers and recovered contraband substances from their possession.
A police spokesperson informed that at a checkpoint at Galwanpora Crossing (Budgam), one Muzamil Ahmad Khan, son of Mohammad Ayoub Khan of Bathaar, was arrested after contraband was recovered from his possession.
In Kupwara, police stopped a vehicle (JK15A-6188) with two persons on board. Identified as Afaq Mohiuddin Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohiuddin Bhat, and Muneeba Begum, wife of Mehrajudin Bhat, both residents of Aloosa Bandipore, both person were arrested and vehicle seized after heroin-like substance was recovered from them, police said.
