Addressing the officers, Nalin Prabhat emphasized the urgent need to root out organised crime and dismantle various mafia networks operating in Jammu and Kashmir. “This is high time to act decisively and with full force against elements involved in organised crime. We must adopt a zero-tolerance approach,” he stated.

He directed officers to maintain integrity and ensure timely, technology-driven investigations, with a strong focus on accurate documentation to strengthen prosecution and facilitate efficient court proceedings. He also lauded the efforts of the Crime Branch team and assured enhanced training and infrastructure support, especially in the domains of cybercrime and financial investigations.

Later, the DGP interacted with the staff, commended their dedication, and reiterated the Police Headquarters’ commitment to providing all necessary assistance for capacity building and operational effectiveness.

The visit reflects the DGP’s broader strategy to fortify institutional capabilities and reinforce the fight against emerging crime trends in Jammu and Kashmir.
