SRINAGAR: Javed Iqbal Choudhary, Member of Legislative Assembly from Budhal, today called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
He apprised the Lieutenant Governor of various welfare issues of the Gujjar and Bakerwal community, including the establishment of Eklavya Model Residential School at Khawas, Kendriya Vidyalaya at Kotaranka, and similar educational institutions in other areas with tribal population in the UT.
He also requested for special central assistance for the development of the Budhal constituency.
Meanwhile, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, President, J&K Apni Party, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and put forth various important matters pertaining to the Horticulture sector and welfare of orchardists and farmers across the UT affected due to recent and recurrent weather-related adversities.
