Srinagar: On the solemn occasion of Youm-e-Ashura, Dr. Farooq Abdullah Sahib paid a heartfelt visit to the refreshment camp organised by the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference’s Zadibal unit at Alamgari Bazar, Hawal.

The initiative was led by NC Chief Spokesperson and MLA Zadibal, Tanvir Sadiq.

Dr. Farooq Abdullah was accompanied by Cabinet Minister Satish Sharma and MLA Chanpora Mushtaq Guroo. The event marked a significant gesture of solidarity and public service on the observance of Youm-e-Ashura.

The presence of Omar Abdullah’s sons Zamir Abdullah and Zahir Abdullah added to the spirit of dedication, as they actively took part in distributing refreshments to the mourners and the general public.

YNC Provincial President Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, SM In Charge Ifra Jan, Addl Spokesperson Abrar Hameed, District President Srinagar YNC Irshad Ahmad Anchari were also present at the camp, extending their support and ensuring smooth facilitation of the services offered to the Ashura participants. Their involvement reflected the party’s collective commitment to community service, especially during religious observances.

The leadership reiterated the values of compassion, unity, and mutual respect that define the ethos of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly during the days of remembrance and mourning in Muharram.

The party extends gratitude to all volunteers, workers, and members of the public who contributed to the successful organization of the camp.
