SRINAGAR: Ram Nath Thakur, Union Minister of State for Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, today called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
He was accompanied by GM Shaheen, President, J&K Janta Dal United (JDU).
Meanwhile, Mohmad Haneefa, Member of Parliament, along with a delegation of students from Ladakh, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today.
The delegation urged the restoration of reservation in admission earlier granted to the students of Ladakh under various courses at SKUAST Kashmir.
Subsequently, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha met Master Amaan Khan, a young National-level Wushu player, at Raj Bhawan.
The Lieutenant Governor congratulated the 12-year-old athlete hailing from Baramulla on winning the Bronze medal at the 25th Sub-Junior National Wushu Championship held recently in Tamil Nadu and extended best wishes for his upcoming tournaments.
In a separate meeting, Touseef Raina, former President, Municipal Council Baramulla, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
Raina put forth important matters pertaining to the improvement of civic amenities in the Baramulla town area and other development issues.
Meanwhile, CA. Charanjot Singh Nanda, President, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
