Power shutdown in various areas of J&K for maintenance and development works

Srinagar/Jammu: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) and Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) have announced scheduled power shutdowns across various regions of Jammu and Kashmir to facilitate critical maintenance, stabilization, and infrastructure works.

According to the Chief Engineer, KPDCL, the power supply from the 33 KV Ahmadpora-Beerwah line to Beerwah, Khag, Arizal, and adjoining areas, including Sonpah, Najan Khag, and Zanigam, will remain affected on July 07 from 06:00 AM to 01:00 PM due to yard clearing and installation of 11 Isolator D.O. sets for the Auxiliary Transformer.

Similarly, for the construction of 33 KV Sukhnag-Arizal Tap line Phase-II, power supply to Arizal, Zanigam, Raiyar, Doodhpathri and adjoining areas will remain affected on July 09 from 06:00 AM to 01:00 PM.

Additionally, to facilitate branch cutting, stabilisation works, and completion of balance works for Dam Toe, the power supply from the 33 KV Potushai-Gurez line to Dawar, Wanpora, Tragbal, NHPC and surrounding areas shall remain affected on July 10 and 11 from 08:00 AM to 01:00 PM.

In Jammu Division, the Superintending Engineer, O&M Circle-III, JPDCL Batote, has informed that power supply to Bidda, Talwara Migrant Colony, and adjoining areas will remain affected on July 04 and 05 from 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM due to maintenance works.

Authorities have requested the cooperation of the public and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused.
