JKPCC President said this while addressing a largely attended workers convention in the Border District Kupwara, in which he highlighted the significance of the movement Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq launched to reiterate the Congress Party’s strong urge for the restoration of Statehood to J&K, without any further delay. He said the Congress Party under the leadership of Mallikarjun Kharge and LOP Rahul Gandhi has made the Modi Govt accountable and answerable to people; their diversionary tactics shall no longer work.

Speaking on the occasion, Karra referred to Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, terming it a historic movement in Indian history, mentioning that no other leader ever walked thousands of miles for the protection of democracy and democratic Institutions in the country except Rahul Gandhi whose uncompromising fight against the BJP’s assault and injustice has exposed Modi Govt’s policy of lies and deceit. Every Congress worker and leader across India will remain solidly behind Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, who are fighting against Modi Govt’s dictatorial policies and political vendetta unleashed to oppress the genuine voice of opposition, Karra said.

The current situation in the country is not favorable to people, for the fact, Modi Govt has no policy with respect to empowering people or development, rather it is eroding the democratic rights and intuitions systematically aiming to hide their failures and oppress the dissent, Karra added and said BJPs vendetta politics stands exposed fully.

On this occasion, JKPCC President referred to the yearly Amarnath Yatra, he said the Yatra has always been sacred for the people of Kashmir, there is no need to politicize it to cover the Governance failure, at the sametime, Karra questioned the silence maintained over Pahalgam incident and said the Kashmir have always carried Yatra on shoulder, while questioning the BJP Govt who will shoulder the responsibility of Pahalgam carnage, in which 26 innocent people were martyred.

Speaking on the occasion Senior Congress Leaders Haji Abdul Rashid Dar laid emphasis over more public outreach programmes to identify the issue concerning public on the ground, as the dual control of J&K is responsible for adding woes in every respect, with the result people are suffering even for minor things.

MLA Adv Irfan Hafeez Lone said Congress Party under the leadership of PCC President Tariq Hameed Karra has launched a statewide movement, Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq, it (Congress) will further intensify the fight for the restoration of Statehood J&K, which is our right.
