MLA Handwara holds review meeting to assess developmental progress across constituency

KUPWARA: Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Handwara, Sajad Gani Lone, today chaired a review meeting at Environment Hall, Handwara, aimed at assessing the implementation and progress of various government schemes and development projects across the Handwara Assembly Constituency.

Senior officials from key departments including Jal Shakti, Irrigation & Flood Control (I&FC), Rural Development Department (RDD), Health, Municipal Committee Handwara, Roads & Buildings (R&B), Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), Forest, Horticulture, Agriculture, and KPDCL participated in the meeting.

During the review, department heads and field officers provided detailed updates on ongoing projects, scheme implementation status, and key issues affecting project delivery. MLA emphasized the need for coordination and timely execution of works to ensure that public welfare schemes reach the grassroots effectively.

Speaking on the occasion, Lone reiterated his commitment to equitable and transparent development in all areas of the constituency. He called for greater accountability, proactive monitoring, and community engagement in the developmental process.
