Power shutdown announced in several areas across Kashmir on June 17, 18 & 21

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a scheduled power shutdown in various areas to facilitate essential maintenance and upgradation works on high-tension lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the 33 KV Amargarh-Sopore line will remain shut on June 17, 2025, to carry out necessary works in Sopore town, Sadiq Colony, and adjoining areas. Consequently, the 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Sopore-1st and Sadiq Colony will remain off, and power supply in the aforementioned areas will remain affected from 10:00 AM to 03:30 PM.

Similarly, to facilitate the laying of conductors, the 33 KV Amargarh-Bandipora Tap line will undergo shutdown on June 18 and 21, 2025. This will result in the shutdown of 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Douru, Watlab, and Tujjar, affecting power supply to Douru, Watlab, Tujjar, Bomai, and nearby areas from 10:00 AM to 03:30 PM on both days.

In addition, to carry out branch cutting along the line corridor, the 33 KV Magam-Kongamdara line will also be shut down on June 17, 2025. This will impact 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Kunzar, Dobhiwan, Ahmadpora, and Kongamdara, leading to power disruption in Kunzar, Dobhiwan, Ahmadpora, Kongamdara, and adjoining areas from 10:00 AM to 03:30 PM.

KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements and cooperate during the scheduled outages.
