Yasha Mudgal reviews functioning of J&KSCARD branches across J&K

JAMMU: Commissioner Secretary, Tourism, Yasha Mudgal, today chaired a meeting of senior officers at Civil Secretariat Jammu to review functioning of the Tourism Department.

Director, Tourism Jammu, Vikas Gupta; Director, Tourism Kashmir, Raja Yaqoob; Director, Planning Tourism, Yasir Latief; Director, Finance Tourism, Satnam Singh; all CEOs of Development Authorities and other senior officers attended the meeting.

Threadbare discussions were held on various issues regarding proposed new works submitted by the line agencies under Capex budget 2025-26.

Director, Planning Tourism, briefed the meeting about the ongoing work wise activities being conducted under Capex budget 2025-26. He also gave details about the physical and financial activities of the development projects of the department.

Directors, Tourism, Jammu/ Kashmir and CEOs of all Tourist Development Authorities also apprised the meeting of the new proposed works and their implementation under Capex Budget 2025-26.

The Commissioner Secretary directed the senior officers to prioritise give the projects having significant impact in boosting the tourism sector. She asked for proper monitoring of progress on all the ongoing projects of tourism department. She also stressed upon them to create a roadmap for implementing and completing the works of these projects in a time bound manner.

She directed the CEOs of Tourist Development Authorities to keep close coordination with the Directors Tourism Department and fix target to complete maximum projects during 2025-26 under Capex budget. She also directed them to take all necessary steps to repair and upgrade all non-functional toilets at all Tourism Dev Authorities for convenience of the tourists.
