Delegations calls on Deputy Chief Minister

SRINAGAR: Various delegations and individuals today called on Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary, at Civil Secretariat Srinagar.

A delegation of Handicrafts and Handloom Department led by Riyaz ud Din, President All J&K Handicrafts Employees Union, met the Deputy Chief Minister and highlighted some important issues regarding welfare of employees of the department.

The delegation expressed their concern regarding delay in finalization and settlement of modalities for merger of Handicrafts and Handloom Department. They assured their full support to the decision of merger.

A delegation of Labour Union also met with the Dy CM and apprised him of various issues being faced by them.

The Deputy Chief Minister gave a patient hearing to the delegations and said that all their genuine issues and grievances will be resolved in a phased manner.
