Scheduled power shutdown in parts of south Kashmir on June 2, 3 & 4

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in parts of South Kashmir to facilitate tree pruning and branch cutting along 33 KV transmission lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the 33 KV Kulgam–DH Pora line will be shut down on June 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM to carry out maintenance work. As a result, the 33/11 KV receiving stations at DH Pora and Nagam will remain non-operational during the period. The power supply to DH Pora, Manzgam, DK Marg, and adjoining areas will be affected.

Similarly, shutdown of the 33 KV Qazigund–Kund Tap line is scheduled on June 2 and 4, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Consequently, the 33/11 KV receiving stations at Qazigund, Kund, and Chowgam will remain off, affecting power supply to Qazigund, Kund, YK Pora, Khargund, and nearby areas.

KPDCL has advised residents in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements and has assured that power supply will be restored as soon as the maintenance work is completed.
