Srinagar: The Chairman of the CII J&K UT Council, Dr. M A Alim, met with Minister, Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs Transport, Science & Technology, Information Technology, Youth Services & Sports ARI & Training, Satish Sharma, to discuss critical issues impacting the region’s growth.

The discussions focused on three key areas: Information Technology (IT), sports, and challenges faced by the food industry. The Minister assured full cooperation in advancing IT infrastructure, addressing operational hurdles in the food sector, and improving transport and road safety through collaborative awareness campaigns.

During the meeting, Sharma emphasised the government’s commitment to fostering public-private partnerships for sustainable development. He acknowledged the concerns raised by the food industry and pledged support to streamline regulations and logistics. Furthermore, CII discussed potential opportunities to promote and enhance sports initiatives in Jammu & Kashmir, aiming to foster growth and development in J&K’s sports sector.

The Chairman expressed appreciation for the Minister’s proactive approach and reiterated CII’s dedication to supporting policy implementation and industry growth.
