BJP delegation visits shelling-affected areas in Poonch

Mendhar, Poonch: A BJP delegation led by Sat Sharma, President, J&K BJP, visited the shelling-affected areas in Poonch, took a ground stock of the damages caused, met affected people, and the families of martyrs.

They also held a meeting with the BJP workers in Mendhar of District Poonch.

Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, General Secretary, J&K BJP and MLA, Adv. Vibodh Gupta, General Secretary Gurdeep Singh Khalsa District President, Rajinder Gupta, Prabhari Poonch, Mandal Presidents, District Office Bearers and Morcha Presidents and others accompanied the party president.

BJP leaders visited Shree Gurudwara Singh Sabha, and Ashram of Shree Shambhu Panchayati Atal Akhada, both in Krishna Ghaati, to assess the damages that have been caused by the shelling from across the borders.

They also visited the house of Balwinder Kour, martyred in the shelling, while meeting the shelling-affected people.

While speaking with the affected people, Sat Sharma strongly criticised Pakistan for targeting civilian areas. Emphasizing that every single life matters, he asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will ensure that no sacrifice goes in vain. He further urged Pakistan to learn a lesson and shift its focus from supporting terrorist activities to prioritising the welfare of its own civilians.

While addressing party activists, Sat Sharma lauded the success of Operation Sindoor and praised the bravery of the Indian Armed Forces. He emphasized that India’s pride has been strengthened by its robust defence capabilities.

He urged the party workers to take the lead in assisting people during this challenging time, without pause or rest. Sharma also called on them to coordinate closely with the administration to expedite relief and rehabilitation efforts.

Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal urged the party cadre to lead a people’s movement in appreciation of the Indian Armed Forces, who demonstrated exceptional discipline and professionalism during Operation Sindoor.

Vibodh Gupta highlighted the emergence of India’s defence as a fortified technological advancement. He also underlined the importance of an organized and responsive party cadre in times of crisis.
