Srinagar: As part of emergency response, Srinagar Police in coordination with the Tourist Police and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), carried out a mock drill in Dal Lake on Tuesday.
The drill focused on responding to situations such as boat capsizing and drowning incidents.
“The teams, fully equipped with rescue gear, demonstrated real-time rescue and relief procedures. The exercise aimed to test preparedness and coordination among agencies, ensuring swift action during water emergencies,” reports said.
SDRF officials said that they had been asked to conduct a mock drill regarding boat capsize scenarios. “As per the instructions, we demonstrated the use of rescue equipment and procedures. This is part of our continued efforts to remain ready for any situation,” an official said.
