During the visit, the Commissioner reviewed the overall functioning of the office, interacted with staff, and assessed the status of citizen-centric services. He reiterated the importance of professionalism, punctuality, and a strong commitment to public welfare within the department.

As part of his visit, Mahajan held a public grievance redressal session, where he patiently listened to the concerns of local residents and assured them of timely and effective resolution. “We are committed to delivering transparent, efficient, and hassle-free transport services to every citizen,” he stated.

The Commissioner, along with RTO Kashmir, also visited the proposed site for the construction of the new ARTO office building and the driving skill test track. He reviewed the status of the project and directed concerned officials to expedite the work while ensuring high-quality standards and timely completion. The new infrastructure will significantly enhance the capacity of the department to conduct driving tests and provide modern facilities to the public.

Mahajan further instructed ARTO officials to streamline internal processes, adopt digital solutions wherever possible, and cultivate a culture of accountability, empathy, and service excellence.

During his visit, the Transport Commissioner also met with SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Poswal (IPS), to discuss a range of issues related to road safety, traffic management, and coordinated efforts to reduce accidents and improve public awareness.

This visit underscores the Transport Department’s unwavering dedication to infrastructure development, improved service delivery, and good governance across Jammu and Kashmir.
