Power shutdown scheduled in multiple areas across Kashmir

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across various areas of the Valley to facilitate essential maintenance and infrastructure works. According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, the shutdowns are being undertaken to carry out branch cutting, stabilization works, and the shifting of electrical utilities along the proposed ring road.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, in order to carry out Branch cutting and necessary stabilization works, shutdown of several 33KV lines shall be carried out which will subsequently affect power supply to various areas.

The shutdown of 33KV Pattan Amargarh line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Pattan, Hamray, Palhallan shall remain off while power supply to Pattan, Hamary, Palhallan and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM on 14, 18 & 21 May, 2025.

Also, the shutdown of 33KV Markundal Tap line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Aglar, Markundal, Naidkhai, Shahgund shall remain off while power supply to Aglar, Markundal, Naidkhai, Shahgund and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM on 14, 18 & 21 May, 2025.

Similarly, the shutdown of 33KV HMT line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Nehalpora, Mirgund, Singhpora, Shadipora shall remain off while power supply to Nehalpora, Mirgund, Singhpora, Shadipora and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM on 14, 18 & 21 May, 2025.

Further, the shutdown of 33KV LIS Lethpora line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at LIS Lethpora 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Mills (HPCL, Khyber Agro, Crusher Plant) shall remain off while power supply to LIS lethpora and Mills area will be affected from 09:00 AM to 03:00 PM on 07 May, 2025.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, in order to carry out shifting of electrical utilities along the proposed ring road, shutdown of several 33KV Badampora Wangipora Tap line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Batwina, Wangipora, Nowgam shall remain off while power supply to Batwina, Nowgam, Wangipora, Zazna, Ahan, Waskura, Kharbagh, Guzhama, Sumbal, Nesbal and adjoining areas will be affected from 09:30 AM to 05:30 PM on 07 & 10 May, 2025.

Also in this connection, the shutdown of 33KV Badampora Army Hakbara line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Hakbara, Hajin Madwan, Army shall remain off while power supply to Hajin, Preng, Madwan, Boniyar, Hakbara and adjoining areas will be affected from 09:30 AM to 05:30 PM on 07 & 10 May, 2025.
