Planned power shutdown in Srinagar on April 26, 28 & 30 for maintenance work: KPDCL

SRINAGAR, APRIL 23: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of Srinagar to facilitate critical maintenance and infrastructure upgrades.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, in order to carry out the installation of 33 KV insulators from GIS Tengpora, the shutdown of 33KV GIS Tengpora KP Bagh Line, GIS Tengpora Exhibition Line, GIS Tengpora Narkara Line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at KP Bagh, Jawahar Nagar, Batamaloo, Exhibition, Rajbagh and Gangbugh shall remain off while power supply to KP Bagh, Jawahar Nagar, Danderkha, Rajbagh, Narkara, Gangbugh and adjoining areas will be affected from 11:00 AM to 05:00 PM on 26 April, 2025.

Also in this connection, the shutdown of 33KV Bemina Exhibition line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Court Complex, GIS Batamaloo shall remain off while power supply to Batamaloo Adda and Mominabad Batamaloo areas will be affected from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM on 26 April, 2025.

Similarly, to facilitate the stabilization of said feeder from Sazgaripora to Aali Masjid in connection with providing of power supply to STP Ali Jan Road, the shutdown of 33KV Khanyar line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Khanyar, Rainawari and Takenwari shall remain off while power supply to Miskeenbagh, Rosabal, Hazaribagh, Kondabal, Hassanabad, Jogi Lankar, Paloura, Sangam, JLNM Hospital areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 26, 28 & 30 April, 2025.

In this connection, the shutdown of 33KV Bagh Ali Mardan Khan-Takenwari line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Khanyar, Rainawari and Takenwari shall remain off while power supply to Fateh Kadal, Khayam, Khankahi Mohalla areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 26, 28 & 30 April, 2025.
