Cloudburst in Ramban: SGI settles two motor insurance claims within 24 hours

Srinagar: Shriram General Insurance (SGI), one of India’s leading non-life insurers, recently set an industry benchmark by settling two motor insurance claims within 24 hours in the Ramban district of Jammu & Kashmir.

In the aftermath of the recent cloudburst and landslide in Ramban one TATA 1616, a Goods Carrying Commercial Vehicle (GCCV), and one TATA Magic, a Passenger Carrying Commercial Vehicle (PCCV) were engulfed in a massive landslide triggered due to a heavy cloudburst.

SGI claims team swung into action promptly on receipt of the claim intimation, activated its emergency response protocols and settled both claims were processed and efficiently within 24 hours, ensuring immediate financial and emotional relief to the owners of both vehicles.
