Labour Commissioner holds awareness camp at Industrial Estate Rangreth

SRINAGAR: Labour Commissioner and Director J&K Employees State Insurance (JKESI), S. Charandeep Singh, today conducted an awareness camp at the Industrial Estate Rangreth, Srinagar.

The event aimed to sensitise the ESI Insured Persons, HR representatives from various establishments and factories, besides other stakeholders, about the provisions and benefits of the ESI scheme.

A comprehensive and interactive discussion was held during the session, providing a platform for insured persons and employers to voice their concerns. Besides, issues related to ESI coverage, medical benefits and administrative processes were raised and deliberated in detail.

  1. Charandeep Singh assured the participants that their grievances would be addressed in a time-bound manner.

All Insurance Medical Officers (IMOs) of the Kashmir division were present at the camp, actively engaging with the participants and providing valuable insights into the range of medical facilities available under the ESI scheme. They addressed health-related queries with clarity and commitment, reinforcing the department’s dedication to employee well-being.

The Inspector of Factories, Kashmir Division, also attended the event, contributing meaningfully to discussions on workplace safety, industrial compliance and the regulatory framework.

The camp was further enriched by the presence of senior officials, including Chief Accounts Officer Nimisha Anand, Assistant Labour Commissioner Srinagar Dr. Adnan Khawaja and Assistant Labour Commissioner Budgam Dr. Zameer Ali.

This awareness camp is part of the Labour Department’s ongoing initiative to strengthen dialogue with the industrial sector and ensure effective implementation of employee welfare schemes across Jammu & Kashmir.
