Srinagar: Police in Budgam have arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance from his possession.
A police spokesperson informed that one Sajad Muzaffar Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar of Surasyar Chadoora, was arrested at a checkpoint near Higher Secondary School Zohama, after cannabis sticks weighing about 270 grams were recovered from his possession.
A case vide under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Chadoora for investigation, police said.
