Addressing a party gathering in Suchetgarh today, Karra was joined by AICC General Secretary and CLP leader G. A. Mir, along with several senior party leaders including Working Presidents Tara Chand and Raman Bhalla, AICC Secretary Neeraj Kundan, Former MP T. S. Bajwa, Balwan Singh, Ved Mahajan, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma, Yashpal Kundal, Th. Hari Singh Chib, S. S. Channi, M. K. Bhardwaj, and others.

Shri Karra lashed out at the BJP and the Modi government, accusing them of weakening the Constitution and its soul through multiple means.

The Congress function was organized by Bhushan Dogra, the contesting candidate, in connection with the birth anniversary of the Father of the Constitution, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.

Karra elaborated on the pressing challenges confronting constitutional values, noting that various forces are actively working to undermine the principles of equality and justice that have been painstakingly established throughout India’s history. He expressed concern that such efforts threaten to erode the very foundation of the Constitution, which was designed to protect the rights of all citizens, irrespective of their background.

In light of these challenges, Karra urged people to take proactive steps to defend the Constitution and uphold the democratic institutions that form the backbone of the nation.

G. A. Mir issued a call to action, stressing that it is the responsibility of every citizen to protect the democratic framework and the rights it guarantees. He emphasized that the vision and values laid out by Dr. Ambedkar must continue to thrive in Indian society. He noted that Ambedkar’s tireless and selfless dedication to the principles of social justice, equality, and human rights continues to serve as a powerful inspiration for present and future generations.

Tara Chand added that Dr. Ambedkar, the Father of the Indian Constitution, was also the godfather of Dalits and the downtrodden, leading millions of oppressed people towards a life of dignity and self-respect. He further said that despite facing social stigma and oppression, Babasaheb remained steadfast in his fight for equal rights and justice for the marginalized in India.

Raman Bhalla praised the immense contributions of Dr. Ambedkar to the nation, stating that his selfless service will continue to inspire future generations to uphold the path of social justice and equality enshrined in the Indian Constitution.

Neeraj Kundan said that Ambedkar’s efforts to bring the deprived sections of society into the mainstream would remain a guiding example for every generation. He added that adhering to constitutional principles and ensuring that the benefits of democracy reach all would be the most befitting tribute to the great luminary.

Prominent leaders who participated in the event included Suresh Dogra, Amrit Bali, Sanjeev Sharma, Shameema Raina, Ziyda Khan, Jatin K. Raina, Ajay Lakhotra, Vijay Shastri, Ricky Dalotra, Bodh Raj Bhagat, Jasmeet Singh Raina, Varun Magotra, among others.
