Athletes from across the country have arrived in Srinagar to participate in the national-level event. The J&K Sports Council, in partnership with the Softball Association, has made comprehensive arrangements for the comfort and convenience of the visiting players and officials.

In his address, Nazir Ahmad Khan welcomed the participating teams and extended his best wishes for the championship. He expressed pride in Jammu and Kashmir emerging as a preferred destination for national sports events and camps. “The newly elected government is committed to strengthening sports infrastructure and supporting such national events in a more improvised manner,” he stated.

The opening ceremony was attended by several dignitaries including Dr. Praveen Anaokar, Secretary General of the Softball Association of India, along with other office bearers and representatives of member units of the SBAI.

The championship, sponsored by the J&K Sports Council, promises an exciting display of athleticism and sportsmanship, marking another milestone in the growing sports culture of the Union Territory.
