Grand cultural extravaganza at Badamwari garden marks Baisakhi celebrations in Srinagar

SRINAGAR: A vibrant cultural event celebrating the spirit of Baisakhi was held today at the picturesque Badamwari garden, Srinagar, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL) in collaboration with the Department of Floriculture, Kashmir.

The program commenced with a warm welcome by Additional Secretary, JKAACL, Ideel Saleem, who greeted the enthusiastic audience and extended his heartfelt appreciation to the participating artists. The event drew an overwhelming crowd, with thousands from the general public gathering in the lush gardens to witness the rich cultural spectacle.

The mesmerizing performances by legendary artists Ustaad Abdul Rashid Hafiz, Ustaad Mohammad Yaqoob Shaikh, Gulzar Ahmad Ganai, Waheed Jeelani, Ajaz Rah, and Assad Anjum created a magical ambiance, celebrating the cultural heritage of the region. Their soulful renditions left the audience spellbound, turning the springtime garden into a hub of festivity and joy.

Renowned anchor Rashi Nizami conducted the event with grace and elegance, adding charm to the memorable occasion.

The program beautifully reflected the cultural harmony and artistic excellence of Jammu and Kashmir, making it a truly unforgettable celebration of Baisakhi.

JKAACL in collaboration with the Department of Floriculture, Kashmir will be organizing more such events in future, wherein, the general public and tourists alike will enjoy the rich cultural diversity amongst beautiful gardens and parks of Kashmir.
