MD JJM asks Jal Shakti divisions for expenditure reconciliation by April 10

SRINAGAR: Mission Director, Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), Khurshid Ahmad Shah, today convened a review meeting of Jal Shakti (PHE) divisions of Kashmir province in the Civil Secretariat, Srinagar.

The meeting was attended by Superintending Engineers of respective circles, Executive Engineers of Civil and Mechanical divisions and officers of the Mission Directorate.

The MD enquired about the pace of execution of projects in the Kashmir region. He was informed that with the arrival of outside labourers, execution of works specific to the outside workforce has gathered momentum, while the routine works like pipe laying and general civil works are being executed at a steady pace. He directed the divisional officers to monitor these works expeditiously so that the quality of work is maintained as per set standards.

The MD directed the officers to reconcile the expenditure on Integrated Management Information System (IMIS) and Public Financial Management System (PFMS) by April 10th, 2025, as directed by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India. He also enjoined upon the officers to clear the disparities in fund utilisation between the two portals within one week.

The meeting also discussed uploading of data on PM Gati Shakti for which refresher training will be imparted at the Chief Engineer, PHE Kashmir office tomorrow in batches.
