SANJY 2025: DC Bandipora visits Transit Camp Sumbal, reviews facilities

Bandipora: In view of the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY) 2025, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri today visited the Transit camp Shadipora Sumbal to take stock of the facilities being put in place for the smooth and safe conduct of the Yatra.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the infrastructure at the site and reviewed arrangements related to accommodation, sanitation, drinking water, electricity, medical care, and security for the Yatris.

He laid special emphasis on ensuring the availability of essential services round-the-clock, besides maintaining proper hygiene and cleanliness at the Transit Camp.

The DC directed the concerned departments to work in close coordination and ensure timely completion of all works related to the Yatra preparations.

He stressed that no compromise should be made in terms of facilities being provided to the pilgrims, especially in terms of clean toilets, adequate lighting, uninterrupted power and water supply, and robust healthcare services.

Among others, SDM Sumbal Murtaza Ahmad Sheikh, Executive Engineer R&B and PDD, Officers from Jal Shakti and other concerned departments were present on the occasion.
