Dr Farooq urges administration to investigate cause of fire

Srinagar: The President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, has expressed profound sadness and sorrow over the tragic fire incident at Shah-r-Hamdan (RA) Darul Uloom in Tral.

The incident resulted in the loss of life of a 10-year-old boy, Yasir Ahmad, son of Bashir Ahmad of Karmulla Tral, and left several others injured.

Describing the incident as extremely distressing and heart-wrenching, Dr. Farooq Abdullah extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the young child.

He prayed for the child’s magfirah, asking Almighty Allah to grant him a place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and to give patience to his grieving parents and loved ones.

Dr. Farooq Abdullah also expressed sympathy for all those injured in the incident and prayed for their swift and complete recovery. He emphasized the significant loss to the community due to the destruction of the Darul Uloom, highlighting the importance of such institutions as centers of learning and guidance.

He stressed the immediate need for support to the affected students and management of the Darul Uloom, urging the administration to investigate the cause of the fire and implement necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future.

In his prayers, Dr. Farooq Abdullah asked for peace, safety, and protection for all people and institutions of learning across the Valley.
