Handwara: Police today attached a vehicle worth rupees 12 lakh saying it was procured through the proceeds of norco-trade.
As per police statement, the vehicle, a Maruti Swift Dzire (JK09D-5264), is owned by accused Tahir Habib Dar, son of Habib Ullah Dar, resident of Jaggerpora, Kupwara. The accused is involved in FIR No. 38/2025 under sections 8/21-29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Handwara.
Acting under Section 68-F(1) of the NDPS Act, the vehicle has been attached by Police Post Chogul Police Station Handwara, as part of legal action against assets acquired through drug-related offenses, police said.
