Srinagar: Police on Friday said that a case has been registered against the organizers and participants of a Youm-e-Quds procession in Sonpah village, Beerwah, for creating law and order situation “by raising objectionable slogans”.

Quoting from a police handout, GNS reported that during the procession, a large crowd gathered under the directions of the organizer and raised “objectionable” slogans. “By sloganeering, organisers tried to create a law and order situation and blocked Sonpah–Beerwah road, thereby causing obstruction to smooth movement of the general public,” police said.
