Srinagar: Police on Wednesday said it has solved a case of a missing girl within 12 hours, in Shopian by recovering a girl and her abductor.
Police Post Keegam received a complaint from a resident (name with-held) of Haji Chek, about his 15-years-old daughter having gone missing since 11 AM yesterday, a police spokesperson informed.
It said during the investigation, credible information was received indicating the girl’s presence in Yaripora, Kulgam, following which a police team was deputed to the location and the missing girl was recovered along with a 16-year-old boy (name withheld), resident of Tarigam, Kulgam.
A case FIR No. 60/2025 under Section 137(2) has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
