Srinagar: Police in Bandipora have solved a theft case within hours by arresting an accused person.
Acting on a complaint of one Nazir Ahmad Mir, a shopkeeper at Gulshan Chowk Bandipora, about theft of cash amounting to ₹1.7 lakh from his shop, police after registering a case, during investigation arrested one Imran Ahmad Sofi, son of Ghulam Nabi Sofi of Rak Arath Dal Colony, Bemina Srinagar.
An amount of ₹1,49,500 in cash was also recovered from his possession, while a vehicle (JK05B-8805) used in the crime has also been seized., police said, adding that it cracked this case of theft within eight hours after the complaint was lodged.
