IGNOU continues to introduce new programs in line with contemporary educational demands. This year, the university has launched Four-Year Undergraduate Programs (FYUP) in various disciplines, including Commerce, Economics, History, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Anthropology, Hindi, Sanskrit, Urdu, Social Work, Philosophy, Biochemistry, and Facilities & Service Management.

Prospective students can select their preferred study center from a wide network of centers established in almost all Government Degree Colleges across Kashmir, including SKIMS, NIELIT, the Composite Regional Centre Srinagar, Kashmir University, and institutions in the Union Territories of Kargil and Ladakh. Additionally, the Regional Centre Srinagar houses a special study center offering exclusive programs not available at other Learner Support Centres.

For students interested in Information Technology-based programs such as BCA, MCA, and MSc Information Security (MSCIS), NIELIT Srinagar serves as a dedicated study centre. NIELIT also provides entrepreneurship support, offering mentorship and training programs for students aspiring to start businesses in the IT and electronics sectors.

Regional Director Dr. A. H. Rizvi emphasized the university’s commitment to providing quality, accessible, and flexible education to learners across the Kashmir Division, including Ladakh. He urged prospective students to take advantage of the extended deadline, especially those who faced challenges in completing their applications earlier.

Furthermore, the re-registration deadline for enrolled IGNOU learners has also been extended until March 31, 2025, with a late fee of Rs. 200 for all programs (except semester-based programs) offered in ODL and Online mode. Students are advised to re-register for their second or third year promptly to avoid last-minute rushes.

For further inquiries and assistance, prospective students are encouraged to contact the Regional Centre Srinagar or visit the official website: ignou.ac.in or rcsrinagar.ignou.ac.in.
