Power shutdown announced in multiple areas for maintenance work: KPDCL

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns in several areas to facilitate essential maintenance work on the power infrastructure.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the 33KV Nagam-Hafroo Tap line will undergo maintenance work involving the laying of conductors on the 11KV Long Pole. As a result, the 33/11KV Receiving Station at Hafroo will remain out of service, affecting power supply to Hafroo, Lolipora, Watkul, Darwan, Barwah, Nagam, Nowpora, Gogjipathri, Shopora, and adjoining areas from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM on March 18, 2025.

Similarly, in order to stabilize and improve the 33KV Potushai-Naidhal Tap line, a power shutdown has been scheduled, which will lead to the 33/11KV Receiving Station at Ajas being switched off. Consequently, power supply to Ajas, SK Bala, Sadunara, Bazipora, and nearby areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on March 19 and March 22, 2025.

Consumers in the affected regions are advised to make necessary arrangements and cooperate with the authorities during the maintenance period.
