Srinagar: Police have arrested a drug peddler in Kulgam and recovered contraband substance from his possession, a police spokesperson informed Saturday.
He said a police party during patrolling at Furrah near railway bridge, arrested one Shahid Manzoor, son of Manzoor Ahmad Ganie of Furrah, after 2.1 kgs of grinded cannabis-like substance was recovered from possession.
A case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Qazigund for further investigation, police said.
