Srinagar, Mar 13: The Jammu and Kashmir government has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) for employees and pensioners under the 6th Pay Commission from 239 percent to 246 percent of basic pay and pension.

As per an order issued by the Finance department, government employees who continue to draw their pay under the pre-revised 6th Pay Commission scales will receive the revised DA.

The order states that the arrears from July 2024 to February 2025 will be paid in cash in March 2025, and the revised DA will be included in the monthly salary from March 2025 onwards. Additionally, fractions of 50 paise and above will be rounded off to the next higher rupee, while amounts below 50 paise will be ignored.
