RKFC currently stands with 29 points from 17 matches, just behind Churchill Brothers and Inter Kashi and both teams having 34 points from 18 games. With only a few games left in the season, every point matters in the title race.

Addressing a pre-match press conference on Saturday, RKFC head coach Ishfaq Ahmad acknowledged Aizawl FC’s strength, especially after their recent victory over Sporting Club Bangalore. “Their confidence is high, but it all depends on how both teams perform on the field,” he said.

Ishfaq highlighted the mounting pressure on top teams. “A single loss can change the standings and impact the title race,” he added.

RKFC, the only club from Jammu and Kashmir in the I-League, is owned by Arshid Shawl and features a mix of local and foreign players. Winning the title would be a significant boost for football in the region.

The club management has urged fans to turn up in large numbers and support the team in this crucial match.
