SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a scheduled power shutdown in parts of Srinagar on March 5, 2025, to facilitate works related to Ring Main Unit (RMU) upgrades being executed by M/S RECPDCL.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdown will affect the 33KV Wanganpora-Kawdara Mughal Masjid power line, resulting in a temporary outage at the Receiving Station Kawdara, Mughal Masjid. As a result, power supply to several areas, including Zadibal, Mughal Masjid, Kawdara, Rajouri Kadal, Jamia Masjid, Firdous Colony, Bacchi Darwaza, and adjoining localities, will be disrupted from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM on the scheduled day.
Residents and businesses in the affected areas are advised to make necessary arrangements to mitigate any inconvenience caused by the temporary outage.
