Power shutdown schedule announced in Kashmir

Srinagar: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power outages in various areas to facilitate augmentation and maintenance works on key power transmission lines.

According to the Chief Engineer of KPDCL, the power supply from the 33kV Waterhail Tap Line to the receiving station Waterhail and the feeding areas, including Samsan, Parthan, Waterhail, and the PHE substation, will remain affected on February 17 and 20 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM due to augmentation of the 33kV Budgam Parthan Line.

Similarly, for augmentation and stabilization of the 33kV Pampore SIDCO Line, power supply to receiving stations Pampore-I and Pampore-II, along with feeding areas including Frestabal, Khadermoh, Kadlabal, ITBP, Zewan, JKEDI, Drangbal, Namblabal, Tulbagh, and adjoining areas, will be disrupted on February 16, 23, and 26 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Additionally, power supply to receiving stations at Khrew Cement Plants and Industrial Estates (IE) Khrew and IE Wuyan will remain affected on February 16, 23, and 26 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

To facilitate the shifting of 132kV CTs/LAs in Delina Pattan Ckt-II, power supply to 33kV feeders, including Pattan, HMT, Markandal, Gulmarg, Mirgund, Sumbal, Tangmarg, Hamray, Palhallan, Singhpora, and Hanjiwera, will be disrupted on February 17 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Moreover, for the erection of a transmission line tower between Tower No. 76 and Tower No. 77 of the 220kV Wagoora-Zainakote Line to increase vertical clearance between the 132kV Budgam-IRCON Line and 220kV Wagoora-Zainakote Transmission Line, power supply to 33kV feeders supplying Kremshore, Budgam, Ichgam, Waterhail, Chadoora, Charar-i-Sharief, and adjoining areas will remain affected on February 24 and 25 from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Residents and businesses in the affected areas are advised to make necessary arrangements to mitigate the impact of the power outages.
