Kathua/Ramban: One person died while another was Injured when a motorcycle crashed into a truck (PB11DB 9866) at 12:30 pm near CFM Hatli in Kathua.

The deceased was identified as Ranjeet Singh (19), son of Pritam Singh, and the injured person as Lovely Sharma (24), son of Rajender Kumar. Both were residents of Surada Sola Kootah, Tehsil Hiranagar.

Following the accident, both of them were rushed to GMC Kathua, where doctors declared Ranjeet Singh as brought dead.

Lovely Sharma is under treatment, while Ranjeet Singh’s body has been transferred to the mortuary at GMC Kathua. Police are probing the incident.

A man lost his life while three others were injured in a road accident in Zangaldhar area of Ramban district on Friday.

An official said that an electric auto (JK19A 7302) met with an accident at Zangaldhar Rajgarh area of Ramban. He said one Bihari Lal, son of Baldev Singh, resident of Dharma Rajgarh died on the spot while three others — Raju and Ravi Das of Duhga Chakka, and Bodh Raj of Challie were injured.

He said that all the injured have been shifted to District Hospital Ramban for treatment wherefrom doctors shifted one injured person to GMC Jammu.

Meanwhile police have taken cognizance and started an investigation.
