Power shutdown scheduled in Srinagar and Shopian for maintenance work

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power outages in various areas of Srinagar and Shopian due to ongoing maintenance work.

According to the Chief Engineer, KPDCL, power supply will remain affected on February 12 and 20 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in connection with the laying of conductors on erected poles at Medicity Sempora. The outage will impact the Pampore-Badamibagh (Trunk Line), affecting the following receiving stations: Sonawar, Badamibagh, Panthachowk, Lasjan, and WSS Tangnar. The disruption will also impact areas including Sonwar, Indra Nagar, Batwara, Shivpora, Badamibagh, Lasjan, WSS Tangnar, Flour Mill, GB Pant Hospital, and adjoining localities.

Similarly, power supply from the Kanipora-Pinjoora Line will be affected on February 15, 17, and 19 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM due to maintenance activities. This will impact receiving stations at Pinjoora, Arhama, and Chowdharygund, affecting areas including Pinjoora, Arhama, Pahnoo, Trenz, Kilora, Imamsahib, Vehil, Reshinagar, Saidpora, and surrounding localities.

KPDCL has urged residents of the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance and expressed regret for the inconvenience caused.
