During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner impressed upon all the stakeholders to work with concerted efforts and added zeal for the successful implementation of the ambitious “Zimadari 2.0” program which is aimed at the overall transformation of the education sector in the district.

She enjoined upon them to target those schools located in far flung areas which need enhancements in terms of human resource and infrastructure so that the students especially underprivileged get an edge to improve their learning outcomes under the program.

She emphasized the importance of timely and effective implementation of the program, focusing on key areas such as improving student enrollment, ensuring better teaching standards, and providing a conducive learning atmosphere in schools.

DC directed the officers to closely monitor the progress of the initiative and ensure active collaboration between all stakeholders, including school management, teachers, and administration.

She stressed that all the stakeholders must take ownership of their responsibilities under “Zimadari 2.0” to achieve meaningful progress and improve the education system in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner also underscored the significance of regular assessments and feedback mechanisms to identify gaps and address challenges promptly. She urged the officers to work towards bridging any existing gaps in infrastructure, resources, and teacher training, ensuring that every student in Kupwara receives quality education.

Among others, CEO Kupwara, CPO, Principal DIET Kupwara, and Representatives from Pratham Foundation were present in the meeting.
