Srinagar: Police have arrested three drug peddlers in Anantnag and Shopian and recovered contraband substances from their possession, an official press release informed Friday.
It said in Anantnag, police raided the residential house of one Farooq Ahmad Kumar, son of Mohammad Subhan Kumar of Khul Chohar Mattan, and recovered 10 kgs of cannabis powder and cash of Rs 2,16,650. The house owner was arrested on the spot.
At Langabal Pahalgam, one Shahrukh Ahmad Sheikh, son of Mohammad Ramzan Sheikh of Sheikh Mohalla Sallar was arrested and 120 grams of charas seized from his possession.
In Shopian, at Borihalan, 920 grams of cannabis powder was recovered from the possession of one Manzoor Ahmad Wanah, son of Gamah Wanah, resident of Devpora. Manzpoor was also arrested.
