JK Resident Commission celebrates Republic Day

NEW DELHI, JANUARY 26: Principal Resident Commissioner, Jammu and Kashmir Government, Dr. Rashmi Singh, unfurled the National flag on the eve of 76th Republic Day at Jammu and Kashmir House.

A contingent of J&K Armed Police presented the guard of honour on the occasion. The ceremonial function was attended by all the officers and officials of Jammu and Kashmir posted at New Delhi.

Congratulating the participants on this auspicious occasion, the Principal Resident Commissioner paid rich tributes to the martyrs and freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for liberating India from the Britishers.

A colourful cultural programme was presented on the occasion besides release of coffee table book and calendar of the Resident Commission.

Later, Principal Resident Commissioner interacted with the officers and officials of J&K House.
