JAMMU: Minister for Health and Medical, Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena Itoo, today visited the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu and SMGS Hospital, Shalamar to enquire about the health and well-being of patients of Budhal Village of Rajouri district.

MLA Banihal, Sajjad Shaheen; Principal GMC Jammu; Medical Superintendents of both the hospitals and other concerned medical professionals were also present on the occasion.

During her visit, Sakeena Itoo interacted with the patients of Budhal and assured them of all possible assistance and support from the government. He assured the affected families that a detailed investigation was underway to determine the cause of the tragedy. “Health department, police department and district administration are working tirelessly 24*7 to ascertain the real cause behind this tragedy,” the Minister stated.

While personally reviewing the ongoing treatment and care of these patients, the Minister asked the hospital administration to monitor their health conditions regularly. She directed them to keep an ample number of doctors and paramedics available for their continuous monitoring. She also asked them to keep the ministry updated about the well-being of these patients.
