KPDCL announces scheduled outages for augmentation work

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a scheduled power shutdown to facilitate the augmentation and thickening of conductors from 0.1+0.1 to 0.2 Panther conductor on the Pampore Grid to Khadermoh line in Phase-I.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdown will affect the 33KV Pampore-Pulwama line, resulting in the temporary suspension of power supply to Receiving Stations at Newa, Kakapora, and LIS Marvel Stages I, II, III, and IV. Consequently, the power supply to areas including Kakapora, Newa, Gadoora, Parigam, Narbal, Ukhoo, and Marvel will remain disrupted from 10:00 AM to 04:30 PM on January 15, 18, and 21, 2025.

However, all affected Receiving Stations will remain charged via the 33 KV Lassipora-Pulwama line, and the power supply will be managed based on load availability.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to make necessary arrangements and cooperate with the authorities to ensure the smooth execution of the augmentation work, which aims to enhance the reliability and efficiency of the power supply infrastructure.
