As per the order, Heavy vehicles and passenger buses will not be permitted beyond Tangmarg to prevent accidents on the slippery road. Light vehicles carrying essential commodities, passengers, and tourists will only be allowed if equipped with anti-skid chains.

The Executive Engineer, PWD (R&B), Tangmarg, has been directed to ensure regular sprinkling of salt on frozen surfaces and remove softened snow dust from the roads using machinery. Tourist vehicles will not be allowed to travel on the Tangmarg-Gulmarg road before 8:00 AM and after 6:00 PM.

The Executive Engineer, M&HD, Baramulla, will ensure snow clearance across the entire stretch of the Tangmarg-Gulmarg road. These restrictions, however, will not apply to government officials, Army, CAPF, or Police personnel on duty.

The Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Gulmarg, and the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Gulmarg, have been instructed to ensure strict implementation of the order. Violations will be dealt with under Section 223 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
