SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 26: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a scheduled power shutdown on December 28, 2024, to facilitate reconductoring work on the Khanyar-Rainawari line, upgrading it from 0.15 ACSR to 0.2 ACSR.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdown will affect the 33KV Wanganpora-Khanyar and Wanganpora-Takanwari lines. As a result, the Receiving Stations at Khanyar, Rainawari, and Takanwari will remain non-operational, causing power outages in several areas.
The affected areas include Miskeen Bagh, Rozabal, Maqdoom Sb, Hazari Bagh, Jogilankar, JLNM Hospital, Kondalbal, Hassanabad, Palpora, Sangam, and Narwara.
The power supply will remain disrupted from 12:00 Noon to 03:00 PM on the specified date. Consumers are advised to make necessary arrangements to avoid inconvenience during the outage period.
