SRINAGAR: A District-level event was organized today at the DC Office in Srinagar to celebrate the inauguration of 10,000 New M-PACS, Dairy and Fishery Cooperative Societies across the nation.
The event was organized in line with the mega event organised at ICAR, Pusa Road, New Delhi being presided over by Union Minister of Home Affairs and Cooperation, Amit Shah.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Syed Ahmad Kataria was the chief guest at the district-level event.
The event witnessed the participation of newly registered multi-purpose primary agricultural credit societies (M-PACS) of the district. All the participants connected virtually with the mega event held in New Delhi.
The chief guest on the occasion distributed registration certificates to newly registered M-PACS and appreciated the contributions made by the Cooperatives to the economy.
The event also saw the presence of Assistant Registrar Cooperative Societies Srinagar, representatives from M-PACS and officials of the Department of Cooperatives.
