Prompt grievance redressal forms govt’s top priority: Dy CM

JAMMU: Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Kumar Choudhary, today said that ensuring prompt redressal of public grievances is a top priority of the present government.

The Deputy Chief Minister was interacting with scores of deputations who called on him today to project several issues related to the welfare and development of their respective areas.

A deputation of Brahman Sabha Jammu called for the allocation of Sanskrit lecturers in the recent notification issued by the education department.

Another delegation from Gurudwara Baba Sundar Singh Ji Jasrota, Kathua, and JK Blood Donors & Welfare Society raised their issues and concerns.

During interaction with the delegations, the Deputy Chief Minister shared his vision for creating a more inclusive, prosperous and progressive society. He emphasized the importance of fostering unity among communities, improving infrastructure in underserved regions and promoting initiatives that uplift the socio-economic standards of all citizens.

The Deputy CM expressed his commitment towards empowering youth, enhancing healthcare facilities and supporting volunteer-driven organisations. He highlighted the need for greater collaboration between the government and community stakeholders to address pressing issues effectively and ensure sustainable development.

Several legislators, DDC members and former Sarpanchs from different areas also called on the Deputy Chief Minister and projected several development-related issues of their respective constituencies.
